This was my 2nd time eating at Raymes, and it was another wonderful experience. The food was fantastic. We came in before the dinner rush. Debbie was our waitress, and she was wonderful. It was a quiet atmophere and easy to conversate. Even as It started to get busy around 5, it wasn't too noisy. We could hear each other easily. Service still stayed on point with the dinner rush. Everything from the appetizers to the main dinner dish was excellent. We ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer and they were cooked perfectly. They weren't greasy like most places. They were presented nicely and had a nice crunch too as you bit into them. The salad was very crisp and fresh. I ordered a filet mignon and my parents ordered the popular pot roast. The filet was cooked just how I like and full of flavor. I ordered a baked potato with my steak, and that was cooked nicely too. My parents loved the pot roast. My mom let me try some of hers, and the meat was so easy to eat and delicious. Some of the best I've tried and the best they have had. We also got dessert at the end since we loved everything so much. I ordered coffee and the chocolate lava cake & my mom ordered the cheesecake- turtle style with pecans, carmel, and chocolate. My dad ordered the seasonal bread pudding with a glass of milk. So glad I remembered this place as we were in the area and thought it'd be a great opportunity to introduce my parents to it. We will be back! Thanks again for a wonderful experience. My parents are enjoying trying new places and getting out of their comfort zone! They wanted to go to Olive Garden but I convinced them to give this a try, especially for their 49th anniversary!! 🙂 They were very impressed and happy we ended up @ Raymes!

The service was great and the atmosphere was alright. Lights low so romantic but tables were close together. The food was good, I wouldn’t say great it was just fine. Not particularly flavorful but cooked well.

It was a birthday celebration at a highly recommended restaurant. We were looking for steak and seafood and we found it in abundance. The specials were just that, very special. The pretzel encrusted salmon was savory. The steaks were all cooked to perfection, the chicken was juicy, and the twice baked potatoes and salads were perfection. The wait staff was very gracious and attentive. Their King-sized cocktails are a real treat. When it came time for dessert we ordered the blueberry cheese cake special which our server delivered with a candle. The perfect ending to a wonderful meal. As a side note Raymes was rebuilt after the great Lisle flood over 10 yrs ago. The new design has kept the cozy supper club appeal. A great gem that we will definitely enjoy again.

Visited Raymes for the first time ever as a Valentine’s dinner. Service was great and quick after being seated. Food was very good and also well priced. I was happily surprised to see I got a soup and side with my entree unlike many other similarly priced restaurants.Great French onion soup!

Wow. Our family had a reservation for five with family that we hadn’t seen in several years that came up to Lisle (from another state) just to see us and catch up with our 90 year old Mom. We had a reservation at 6 PM. We arrived promptly. At 7:30 PM we were asked if we were done and leaving. We were told they had a reservation for 14 and they needed our table. Not once did they offer a solution to put us at a different table so they could use ours. They just basically said we’re not technically asking you to leave, but we need your table. My 90-year-old mom was embarrassed and mortified -we hadn’t seen our family and they came up special to this restaurant to be with us and spend some time together. It’s not like we were sitting for many hours just doing nothing and not eating or drinking. We had literally just finished eating. They had just taken away our plates, brought us the check and then asked if we were leaving. It was not our problem they could not accommodate their large reservation. We live in Lisle and we are embarrassed that we even recommended this place for us all to go. The owner wasn’t much help either. He said I’m pretty sure they didn’t ask you to leave and I said they did -and not only once they asked us twice. We will never return. And all of us that live locally will make sure we tell people not to go to this establishment- horrible service horrible treatment. How embarrassing that we are the ones that live here and recommended Raymes-trying to support a local business for our special family dinner. (We came to Raymes regularly ) Well…Way to go Raymes. 👏🏼 You should teach your staff to have better alternatives when you kick people out out of their reservation because you don’t know how to accommodate the reservations that follow it. And three of us at our table had worked in restaurants for many years in our careers so it’s not like we don’t understand how the business works. But you provided no alternative, no apology and were pretty callous in your response. I hope that table of 14 were regular, loyal, big spending customers of yours. Because we WERE regulars (who typically always ordered apps, entrees, many drinks and deserts) and we had always highly recommended your restaurant to our clients and friends. (Many of whom live in Naperville and local and had never even heard of your restaurant) We will be sure to update them on our experience this evening and how we were treated and asked to leave because you needed your table back.

If you are not a regular customer, you are pretty much ignored if you sit at the bar. Ordered app which bartender recommended and it was good. After it was set down, didn’t get any service for almost 1/2 hour. (Owner?) was standing right next to me behind the bar and didn’t even notice I finished appetizer and beverage which were pushed far away from me while yapping to all the regulars at the bar. Other bartenders were oblivious and were always talking in a cluster at the other end of the bar or waiting on tables(?) Finally asked the dishwasher to get me a bartender… then got one of the worst Caesar salads ever. I was in the industry for years and normally tip 25-30% and struggled to even get to 15%. Don’t waste your time; or maybe you have to be in the dining room but based on other reviews that is still a crapshoot

Very dark and cold and outdated inside. They have nice seating outside. All the dishes were premade or ready made including the mash potatoes fries chili soup. Only thing fresh made was the steak. It was quite well grilled juicy think and flavored. Less labored then we like though, but it was good. The rest of the items were not impressive.

Known for large and fantastic drinks which is very accurate but I LOVE the food. Always quick friendly service Anna was great tonight. Great recommendations and everyone loved what they ordered. Value to price is perfect
