Ellwood Steak and Fish House

I finally had a chance to try this steak house. Unfortunately was the last. They had NO oysters and NO sweet potatoes on a Saturday evening! My waitress was kind and polite. We did not feel prioritized though at all. It seems they are in need of more staff. I ordered Parmesan encrusted sea bass unfortunately with minimal crust and fish was slimy a bit. My son ordered half a slab of baby back ribs and they were tiny.

Very yum! Great place for special occasions. I went on a date night and had a fantastic time. We shared plates and enjoyed everything - drinks, food, and service. Had the octopus which was on special and was very good. Highly recommend the lamb, it's exquisite.

What a lovely place to visit. I was in from out of town visiting (I used to live there). Ellwood Steak and Fish is a great spot for cocktails and dinner. I'll definitely be back!

Visited this steakhouse in advance to a high school graduation. It definitely has a steakhouse feel with a lot of the dark wood formally dressed servers. The food was OK, the service was good and it’s really the only option around this area.

Only reason I gave 4 stars for food was the appetizer. We ordered spinach artichoke dip, and it came with regular tortilla chips. An upgraded option would have been appreciated. Burgers where juicy and cooked as ordered. Fresh garnish was very pleasing.

First visit here as we were in town to see a show at the Egyptian Theater. There were 4 in our group and everyone raved about their meals. The only negatives were a mediocre shrimp cocktail and that my wife thought there was too much garlic in the mashed potatoes. Everything else was fabulous! Adam was our server and he was just the best. Super attentive to everything without hovering. We were privileged to have him helping us at our table.

It was Valentine’s Day and staff was unprepared. Any other night and I would have serious issues with the quality of my food. The service and the attitude of the staff left something to be desired. It was downright cold in there. You need to have a better system for people coming in and going out so that the doors are not open at the same time.

My chair was kicked four times by wait staff walking by and they congregated by our table where we could hear them complaining about their job. Felt like they were hovering over us. Too loud to have a conversation with the person across the table from me. Even though the food was fantastic, we probably won’t go back because of the atmosphere.
