We have traveled i-84 for many years and never thought to stop before reaching Boise. Today, we decided to stop and we are so very glad we did!!! My steelhead special was outstanding, my husband loved his pork shop dish and my son enjoyed his Mac & cheese and Cobb salad so much, he said it's the best one he's had! The coffee was delicious, the water also tasted refreshing with the cucumber infused taste and our server was just perfect, kind and knowledgeable. Oh, and..the calamari appetizer was amazing!! We are so glad we stopped, and will certainly do so again if able to!

Always love celebrating our birthdays at Brick 29! The specials are always a surprising mixture of textures and flavors. Desserts are to die for! The staff are always friendly and helpful. Most of the staff we recognize, know by name, and have been working there for years! Helps us feel comfortable, welcomed and taken care of!

We really shouldn’t wait to visit Brick 29 for special occasions only, it’s too special to hold off to just once in a while. My wife had the Lemon Drop Martini, $10 and I had a Manhattan for $11. But they have plenty of other specialty cocktails to choose from. We ordered the Mushroom Bisque soup and seasonal Pumpkin Bisque finished with maple crème fraiche and pepitas. Next, the Bacon Brussel Sprouts appetizer is outstanding with the contrast of the vegetables and a sweet brown and Dijon mustard sauce. The vegetables were so tender, I’m guessing that they were blanched first then finished off in a sauté pan or oven roasted. The Bistro Chicken is served with a classic mushroom shallot, bourbon & cream sauce and house made mashed potatoes for $17, or substitute polenta for $3 more. This is one we always enjoy, glad they have this choice on the menu for so many years. Brick 29’s cheeseburger with Double R Ranch meat at $16 includes crispy light golden fries and a choice of cheese (picked Havarti instead of the usual cheddar) with jalapeno aioli, and additional options are mushrooms or their thinly sliced candied sweet bacon for $2.99. It’s served on a toasted Gaston’s brioche bun. We’ve also tried a salad entrée: the refreshing Chicken Granny Smith Apple Entrée Salad with broiled chicken, spring greens, grape tomatoes, blue cheese, candied walnuts & walnut vinaigrette salad, topped with crispy onions for $15. I’ve had the Filet Mignon, $38, it’s a very good portion, wrapped in bacon and extremely tender. And that rich dark red wine demi-glace sauce!!! The horseradish potato gratin was outstanding. On this last visit, ordered the bread pudding, $10, to-go. The server, Rachael recommended packing up the white chocolate ganache separately and the Gaston’s brioche bread chilled, warming up at home. She was very helpful throughout the meal. And paced all the items coming out to not rush us. The restaurant moved in 2017 to an added 3rd floor Penthouse with lots of windows. From the Brick facing mural on the door of the elevator you take to the third floor to the fun artwork on the walls to a décor of formal chandeliers, large white hanging globes reminiscent of coffee shops in the sixties, wood floors, comfortable chairs (some have fun images on the back upholstery) and overstuffed booths with whimsical artwork. An open kitchen runs the length of most of the dining room and is a good design to be able to get hot food distributed to each table. I think the restaurant fulfills its mission as the web site mentions: “Brick 29 strives to cultivate a loyal guest through engaged hospitality and a consistent, progressive culinary experience. Our approach to food includes bringing our customer the best in taste at an affordable price.”

Knocks it out of the park on all 3 levels: amazing food, impeccable service (Rachel <3) and super cool ambiance. Be sure to stop into the speakeasy downstairs to jumpstart the experience.

Our first experience here was phenomenal! The service was quick and attentive, we were checked on by multiple people during our dinner and we appreciated it very much. Oh and the food! We ordered the 2 specials of the day and both entrees far surpassed our expectations in presentation, flavor, rarity of ingredients used, and price. The team know what they are doing and they do it well. If the price is keeping you from stopping in they also have items in the 12-18$ range and I can't wait to try them out as well! Thank you Brick 29 for an amazing evening.

Wow! Simply amazing! Brick29 is quite possibly the best dining experience in the treasure valley. If you live in Canyon County then you’re lucky to be near this amazing restaurant. If you live in Ada County, this is certainly worth the drive for exquisite cuisine, lively and casual upscale atmosphere, and superb service. This kind of dining is quite unexpected for downtown Nampa, but it’s a very pleasant surprise when you get the chance to experience it. Please do yourself a favor and try this amazing establishment!

My husband and I celebrated our 15th Wedding Anniversary last night at Brick 29, and they did such an amazing job making the meal memorable. From arriving to find a beautiful card from the entire staff at Brick29 all wishing us congratulations, to the waiter being such a gentleman. The food was phenomenal, and they gave us a creme brulee on the house. Truly. Words fail me. Thank you Brick29 for making our Anniversary so special. ❤️ I can't wait to come back!
