Livestock Tavern is a hidden gem that truly shines when it comes to appetizers. The moment you step inside, you’re enveloped by a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfectly suited for an evening out with friends or a casual dinner date. The menu boasts an impressive selection of small plates that are sure to please any palate. One standout appetizer is the crispy Brussels sprouts, which are expertly tossed in a tangy chili aioli that adds just the right amount of heat. The flavor profile is both savory and slightly sweet, making them completely addictive. Another must-try is the pork belly sliders, featuring tender, melt-in-your-mouth meat topped with a zesty slaw that balances the richness beautifully. For those looking for a lighter option, the charcuterie board is a fantastic choice, displaying a variety of cured meats, artisanal cheeses, and house-made pickles that invite you to explore different flavors and textures. The attentive staff at Livestock Tavern further enhances your dining experience, offering knowledgeable recommendations and ensuring your glass is never empty. If you’re in the mood for delicious appetizers and a vibrant atmosphere, Livestock Tavern is definitely worth a visit!

I enjoyed the rich salad, more bistrot style approach. The apple desert was tasty, light and good size to share.

A friend who live in Honolulu recommended us to this restaurant, so we decided to give it a try. The prime rib is so tender , they even helped us to cut it to smaller pieces so we could share. We also had Beets & frisee. The portion of scallop mushroom risotto was very generous, and the taste was very flavourful. Sunchoke & Brussels was another nice dish. The service was attentive. At the end, we couldn’t finish the food, so we had to pack to go. It was a nice dinner!

This place is amazing!! The drinks, food, and dessert were exceptional! Their version of an Irish Mule was delicious and dangerous, as you can't taste the alcohol. The cornbread, ox-tail Mac and cheese were awesome. The best appetizer was the smoked octopus and andouille sausage. The scallops and mushroom risotto was out of this world. The duck, bolongnese and steaks were above average and everyone was satisfied. The apple tart dessert was delicious. It's off the beaten track and worth the drive to Chinatown!

I live downtown and I wonder to this day why I slept on this wonderful restaurant. We started with the house made corn bread, which is definitely a fancy version of what most of us know as corn bread. Their passion fruit mocktail and Freebird drinks were delicious. For our main course we ordered the country fried steak and the Tavern burger. We were so full we did not have the opportunity to get any of the desserts. That is something we have to look forward to. From their drinks to their foods it is safe to say that every bite and sip is an explosion of flavor. Your taste buds will be confused and amazed at the same time.

Definitely underrated. I order the clam chowder, risotto, and sear duck breast. High quality food and service. You will not regret it.

We have been here time and time again because I cannot get enough of their Filet Mignon with potatoes and asparagus. And their “psycho killer”, a hibiscus tequila drink, is do die for. I have never been disappointed with this plate through the 3-4 years, just saying. Tonight we walked in to it being MUCH busier than usual (good for them, but hearts out to the staff though) and we’re thankful that we had Cortney/Courtney/Kortney/..etc (sorry, I was unsure of the spelling) to make us feel oh so welcome and comfortable despite the rush. I always forget to take pictures of the entrees because I’m so excited to eat, but to start we had the crab cakes and pumpkin soup. SO FLAVORFUL and light, it was absolutely delicious. My filet mignon was delightful and bigger than usual, and my wife enjoyed her chicken pappardelle to the fullest.
