Customer Review Summary
Chart House Waikiki offers a lively atmosphere, good seafood, and a prime marina location. Their happy hour is popular, featuring tasty pupus and well-made drinks. Fresh oysters on the half shell were a highlight for many, and live music enhances the relaxed vibe. However, service experiences vary; some patrons noted slow service and unhelpful staff, affecting their meals. Views were enjoyed, but some diners faced obstructed sightlines due to construction. While many dishes were praised for their flavor, some found certain items overpriced or underwhelming. Overall, it’s recommended for casual dining and drinks, but with caution regarding service quality and food consistency.

Chart House offers a great mix of good food, lively atmosphere, and a prime location. Their happy hour is a standout, featuring tasty pupus and well-made drinks at reasonable prices. It’s a spot that locals seem to enjoy. One of the highlights of my visit was the fresh oysters on the half shell—perfectly chilled and briny, they were a definite must-try. Live music starts at 6 PM, adding to the relaxed, island-style vibe. While there was some construction nearby, it didn’t take away from the fun experience. If you’re looking for a casual yet lively place to enjoy fresh seafood, great drinks, and a bit of local flavor, Chart House is definitely worth a visit.

So I have mixed feelings about this place. First off it has a great view but only before sundown or for sunset. Can't really see much from the marina at night. The service lacked a bit, they took a while to serve us and not that many people serving. The drinks were ok we ordered a chi chi and lava flow, lava flow was good can't even taste the alcohol. The calamari delicious. The Steak was very tasty and asparagus too but mashed potatoes were too sweet for my taste. My husband ordered a covered or stuffed fish but he was not a fan of it at all, did say the oysters were quite delicious tho. All and all I felt the place was a little over priced but food was ok.

Disappointing Experience Due to Poor Service We visited this seafood restaurant with high expectations, but unfortunately, our experience was marred by poor service. The food was initially tasty, but many dishes left an unpleasant aftertaste. Our server, a young woman, seemed uninformed about the menu items and was unwilling to guide us through the options. As newcomers to the restaurant, we didn't know the names of many dishes and asked her for clarification, but she responded curtly, simply stating "it's fish" or "it's fish with...". When we asked about drinks, she was equally unhelpful. We ordered a variety of seafood dishes, including fish, shrimp, oysters, and a glass of wine. However, our server failed to inform us that the wine was red, which didn't pair well with our seafood choices. When we asked her to recommend a good drink from the menu, she couldn't suggest a single option. Furthermore, the oysters seemed stale, as they lacked the usual liquid inside the shell. When we asked our server about this, she was unable to provide an explanation. In contrast, the other servers who assisted us at our table, as well as the busboy, were attentive and helpful. However, our initial server's poor attitude and incompetence ruined our overall experience. She didn't smile once during our meal, and her behavior ensured that we won't be returning to this restaurant. We spend over $300. Improvement suggestions: - Train servers to be knowledgeable about menu items and drinks. - Encourage servers to be friendly, attentive, and helpful. Until these issues are addressed, I would caution others to think twice before visiting this restaurant.

This restaurant is across the street from a marina. We had 6:45 PM reservations and were seated at a table that should have had nice views of the marina but the view was blocked by a scaffold and a mesh screen from construction. I wanted to ask to change tables but my family didn’t want to take a chance have to wait for seating. As far as the service our waiter was very nice and answered any questions we had. We ordered the calamari, crab stuffed mushrooms, New England clam chowder and French onion soup to start. Everything was delicious. For our main courses we ordered the 14 oz prime rib steak, shrimp and scallop scampi and crab stuffed shrimp. The portions were big and very delicious. It was a little pricey but we splurged on our last night in Hawaii

The mahi mahi toasted with macadamia nuts is yummy. Got the guy tai during happy hour. Plus absolutely stunning view and nice music. Highly recommend.

Phenomenal experience and great meal. Sunset views are great over the harbor. Food was fantastic. Bruno on staff was incredible. One of the best waiters/wait service team members we've had in a dining experience. Love Chart House! Thanks again!

Hubby & I ordered fried rice it was very sweet. We didn't finish it. Steak & coconut shrimp was okay. Great customer service. The waitress was very helpful. I asked for fruits, although it wasn't on the menu. She came back with a little bowl of mixed fruits for me, which totally made my day! Gorgeous sunset view.

We were attracted to this location for the open air seating with great views. The food was underwhelming. Crab cakes had some other fillers in it so much so that we could barely taste crab. The tuna steak was not firm. The only cutlery given was a fork. It took some effort to get someone to get us knives. The prices were outrageous given the quality and service. This would be a good place for drinks but not so much for dinner given our experience.
