Their charcoal pancakes are literally the best pancakes I’ve ever had! I don’t like super sugary-sweet pancakes, so these were perfect. The strawberry-guava sauce gives it just enough natural sweetness and even the whipped cream on top is more creamy than sugary. Also, the service rocked. Our server went out of his way to inform us about a local festival that he thought we’d enjoy and even brought us the celebration schedule. Highly recommend.

My wife and I pick out one fancy dinner on every trip we go on, and Basalt did not disappoint! We both had the prime rib, and they did a great job bringing it out at the exact medium rare we like. It was really delicious! We also had the fried rice and espresso martinis. Another plus to this place is that it's right on Duke's Alley, where you can walk off the food a bit and buy some cool souvenirs.

Went for happy hour. They shrimp ceviche was the bomb. Had a small kick to it but so good. The steak taco were lacking and covered in grease. I would skip. Lots of things around in the little shop to try as well. Large bar area with a good bit of seating. 1 drink and 2 apps less than $40

I stopped here for breakfast after seeing the charcoal pancakes and needed to try them for myself! I came around 8am on a weekday and it wasn’t very crowded at all. They had indoor and outdoor seating and I was seated right away. My server was very friendly and attentive and I was able to quickly place my order and receive my pancakes. These were so good! I really enjoyed the strawberry guava sauce and fresh berries that were included. The pancakes were not too sweet (which is a downer for me, but I know most people prefer it!). Since they weren’t too sweet I ate wayyy too much! Overall it was a really great and inexpensive meal and I definitely recommend trying it!

We went for lunch and sat outside. The pork tacos were very good, the poke was amazing—both flavorful and fresh. I also had a garden salad with coconut balsamic dressing which was served on the side in a cute little pitcher. Our water glasses were topped off regularly and the servers were attentive and kind. I’d go back again in a heart beat.

Came here on a Sunday evening with family including 2 kids. They were able to seat us right away with no reservation. Food was great! We got the soup of the day (curried kabocha squash), Prime Rib, Miso Black Cod, Adobo Chicken Wings with a side of Golden Pork Belly Fried Rice. The kids got buttered noodles as well as chicken tenders. Everything was delicious! The service was wonderful. Our server took the time to explain the menu. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. They served the kids their meals pretty quickly and the rest of the food followed soon after. The atmosphere is relaxed. It’s very spacious and clean inside. The location is perfect since it’s right next to a souvenir market. We loved our experience here! This place is definitely a hidden gem!

Coming back the second time to make sure they were as good as we originally thought they were. They are Better! With the open kitchen and the properly trained staff paired with the thoughtfully prepared food, the dining experience was excellent here. Avocado toast was toasty, chock full of avocado, both mashed and slices. The presentation is beautiful, you know we eat with our eyes first 😍. The side order of sausages was just what we needed, properly seasoned, good flavor, the saltines balanced the sweetness of the pancakes. The charcoal pancakes had a pleasant chew, the texture is not like the regular buttermilk pancake, rather more mochi leaning. A lot of the orders coming out of the kitchen was the beautifully composed avo toast and the impressive looking charcoal pancakes. The potatoes on the side of the stuffed omelette were crisp and nicely seasoned as well. The side toast came with a nice serving of strawberry jam and really good butter. We did ask for extra butter😋 Must come back to taste more of their offerings.

Excellent service by Kian. The food was delicious. We tried the carbonara with pork belly and also the crusted Marlin and both proved to be great options. For appetizers we had the soup and the salad. Didn't forget to try the dark bread. It is amazing
