About Graysons Steak and Seafood Restaurant - steak house in South Fulton, Georgia

Customer Review Summary

Graysons Steak and Seafood Restaurant offers consistently good food with friendly service. Highlights include exceptional steaks, particularly the prime filet, and delicious appetizers like calamari and baked brie. While the restaurant’s atmosphere is classy and romantic, service can be slow during busy times. Some guests noted that side dishes are sold separately and some entrees, particularly seafood, could be overly sweet, lacking savory balance. Overall, the dining experience is elevated by attentive staff, and many patrons express eagerness to return, though some feel the prices are slightly high for the quality received.

We have dined here a few times and the food is always good. Service is always friendly also. Some things to note: The main dishes do not come with a side, those are separate. The Mac n cheese is some of the best in town. The au gratin potatoes could use a little bit more flavor and cook time for me personally. Note worthy appetizers for us are the calamari, Philly cheese steak rolls and the pork belly! The menu is a bit pricey, but you’re worth it lol

Let me start by stating the service was amazing! Greeted by Joel who was very classy and respectful in his approach asking if it was the first time at the restaurant. Started the evening; ordered espresso martini and shrimp cocktail Yum! Then shifted gears to entree ordering Prime 8oz filet mignon with sides: asparagus, broccolini and au gratin potatoes… everything was exceptional and so great tasting! Let just say, the steak (ordered medium) passed the butter knife test which is my golden standard if a steak is prepared to perfection! Whew! Food coma! Francheska was our server and she was awesome, cordial, respectful, and polite! Then followed by drunk monk chocolate three layer cake… for Christ sakes, add more wood to the fire! The ambience is very classy, jazz music in the background and super romantic! This is one of those can’t wait to come back places! At the top of the list of new favorites!

Our dinner took place on a Saturday evening with four total people. Seating was easy parking was convenient and the inside of the restaurant is very pleasing. When you enter, you meet the bartender who is incredibly helpful and knew the modifications to all of our drinks and completed them professionally. When we were sat at our table, we were told our waiter had another party. He was wrapping up so we waited. My wife and I both worked in the restaurant industry for many years so we understand but the entire evenings service is much slower than we would’ve liked and we waited for almost 20 minutes to get our appetizers and then four minutes later. Dinner was served. Just shows poor timing. We enjoyed our waiter and he was incredibly nice and knowledgeable. We don’t know what other table we had, but it was obvious that is where his attention was that evening. Now for the review of the food. Every dish that we got (except for the steak) was sweet. I am so very dumbstruck as to why every dish had to have sugary sweetness in it. There was nothing overpowering about these but after a while, you just want to Savory flavors to come through on these dishes and everything was just slightly sugary. For Southern cuisine I know that we love our sugar in some most things but the seafood dish my wife got, and photographed, was almost too sweet to eat, and I have no idea why. My steak was outstanding and was the highlight of my meal. The mixed drinks were fantastic and it were the only items on the menu that were very reasonably priced. I would absolutely go back for the bar service. Great selection of drinks! Overall, it was a perfectly above average dinner. It wasn’t outstanding, just ‘good’. I definitely felt that the meal was overpriced for the quality of the food by about 20%. But that’s not a huge complaint just something that I think should be noted.

We celebrated our anniversary here last night and we can't wait to celebrate more special occasions here. The baked brie appetizer was beyond delicious. My lobster tails were cooked to perfection, and my husband loved his steak. The owner and staff were beyond friendly and attentive. 6 stars if I could!

I won’t call it the single greatest fine dining establishment I’ve been to, but it’s very good. My lamb chops and mushroom risotto was well worth the $60+. The service is so personable! Everyone is proud of their restaurant and highly storied. Worth trying at least once if you’re local.

Staff were very friendly and polite. My order of prime filet was delicious. The steak was soft, juicy, and melt in my mouth. I didn’t regret to skip the LH close by. Strongly recommend this place.

We made our first visit over the weekend. The menu offered a variety of dishes we like. Service was superb and atmosphere was casual. The food was partly disappointing, especially since the prices are high. We expected everything to be first rate. French onion soup was delicious but our entree (Scottish salmon) arrived without any seasoning but the cucumber sauce. Not even salted. A 4-5 ounce filet for $40 is very pricey and we expected perfection. Based on this, we will not return.

“I recently visited Grayson’s Steak House in Newnan, Georgia and was thoroughly impressed with the quality of food and service. The steak was cooked to perfection and the seafood was fresh and flavorful. The food was perfect and the dessert was remarkable!! The staff was attentive and friendly. Our waiter was cheerful and knowledgeable creating a fantastic atmosphere. We were there to celebrate my birthday!! They made me feel very special. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fine dining experience in the area.
