Golden Corral Buffet & Grill

I'm from Japan. This was the first buffet restaurant I've been to in the US, and it exceeded my expectations. The yen is currently weak, so all food and drink in the US is expensive. However, this restaurant is different and has excellent cost performance. The quality of the sirloin steak in particular was impressive. I would like to introduce it to people in Japan.

I highly enjoyed the buffet. The server did an admirable job removing our dishes. Downside, the upgraded drinks are not worth it. They are simply the standard drinks with syrup added to them. Huge selection of food and great variety.

Steak - med rare - dry and tough. Fried chicken was NOT done. Spoke with the manager about it and she stated they would cook more but it didn't come out until 40 minutes later and it was time to go. Mac and dressing was watered down. Certain other meat was dry. My kids and I have been there a few times but the consistency is not there. Maybe lunch time is better.

At first glance, things seemed promising - the parking lot gleamed and the building exterior appeared tidy. My hopes were quickly dashed upon entering, however. One whiff told me the place was overdue for a deep clean. Most entrees on the buffet line looked dried out and sad. With swarms of folks crowding the sneeze guards, I cringed. Gloves were offered for handling serving utensils, but I appeared to be the only one using them. The food was flavorless at best. The sole bright spots were the sweet potato and rolls. I didn't even bother with dessert - the offerings appeared downright unappetizing. Hard pass on returning here. I cannot recommend this spot.

The food was excellent, well season. The waitress, was very kind and made sure everything we requested was done in a timely manner. I really enjoyed food and experience there. I wound give it a 10 instead of 5 stars !!! Everything, including, cashier's, cooks, waitresses was excellent!!!!

Couldn't find an empty table. Had to stand over over 6 minutes by a dirty table to get it cleaned, even though a couple of servers saw us. Had to tell someone at the register just to finally get help. Over crowded and children running everywhere unattended getting their own food making messed.
