Lively chain steakhouse serving American fare with a Southwestern spin amid Texas-themed decor.

Customer Review Summary

Mixed reviews for Texas Roadhouse. Some diners praised the fast service and delicious food, especially the hot rolls. However, numerous complaints highlighted slow service, incorrect food temperatures, and poor communication from staff. Several customers experienced issues with undercooked steaks, long wait times for drinks, and unclean dishes. While some servers received commendations for their friendliness and efficiency, others were seen as inattentive or rude. Overall, there appears to be inconsistency in service quality and food preparation across visits.

my friend and i came in for dinner, waited ten minutes to be greeted by our server, ordered a water, diet coke, and a margarita (asked if i wanted to add a kicker and i said no). then waited about fifteen minutes for her to come back to take our order when she realized she never brought us our drinks, not even water. i understand management probably makes the servers ask but, when we ordered i was asked if i wanted add ons on my entree and two sides, it wasn't just that, it was so you want to add onions or mushrooms to your steak? cheese to your broccoli? cheese to your fries? bacon? cheese and bacon? like it just felt excessive and i'm honestly summarizing it. a little bit later our food came and my steak was boarder line blue, i asked for medium. we had to wait 25-30 mins for our server to come back bc a food runner dropped off our food. i was finally able to grab her attention (mind you she had only two other tables and it was NOT busy) and she took my steak back and i ordered another margarita and asked for refills, which the refills took over 10 mins and the margarita took about 20. the same steak and fries were brought back and i was asked to cut into the steak to see if the temp was okay, the section i had cut looked better but still pretty rare but at this point i just wanted to eat and leave, we were there for almost an hour already. i couldn't even eat most of it, the fries were the same ones from when they took my plate back and they were now cold and gross, the steak tasted weird and was either burnt or super rare. we paid and just sat and finished our drinks. server came back 30 mins later and asked if we wanted more alcohol, any dessert, or a gift card. and informed us about some deal they're doing. i was annoyed about all of the add on questions but understood its just what they're required to ask, but you'd think after having a negative experience she would give it a rest? she was not very personable and didn't ask if my food was okay, and gave us one set of refills in the span of an hour and a half. im 21, im a server at another restaurant so i genuinely try to be understanding but i did not even tip 10%. this was such a bad experience and im not coming back. not to mention prices have been raised in the last months so i paid $26 for my broccoli i was able to eat and not the nasty steak and fries, when the same meal was like $21?

I ordered a 28oz bone in ribeye med came out raw and not cooked they took it back and came back out 2 minutes later the plate was piping hot the steak was rubber and hard when cutting into it I believe it was microwaved when sent back. Also my sons steak was under cooked as well but he ate it. All I got was a sorry we have been having issues all night with the cook. The dissented were dirty and caked with hard food the Mac n cheese had something black in it when the manager brought it to me I’m so disappointed!!! I left on an empty stomach and went to eat at a fast food joint. Will never eat here again as this is the second time in a row that food wasn’t right.

Snake bite appetizer was too oily and pretty average in taste. Caesar salad was not a classic Caesar; it had more of a mayonnaise texture and not enough garlic. Croutons were good though. I was asked if I wanted onions and mushrooms on my steak. I was not, however, informed of the extra cost this incurred. I did not like the taste of the mushrooms; they were too salty for my taste. My husband was offered onions for his chicken which was also an upcharge. He liked his chicken, which he felt was a bit salty but tasted good. My steak was delicious and cooked as I requested. Our waitress was dynamite in personality and her attention to us.

Great food. Very busy location. My prim rib was a little over cooked. Everything else was perfecto. Great job

We frequent here often as the Texas Roadhouse has long been one of our favorites from the food to the drinks. This particular location though lacks in quality service. We’ve encountered numerous issues from no rolls, appetizers and entrees arriving at the same time, drinks being mostly ice, and missing food items. We always smile, give them an opportunity to correct it and continue to tip our servers well, but at some point you expect improvement. Last night was no exception, arrived for our call ahead seating right at the quoted time, went to the hostess stand where I was greeted by a not so friendly host, she looked at me without saying a word so I proceeded to tell her our call ahead number. She looked at me with disgust like she didn’t approve of me providing her my call ahead number yet. Our quoted wait time went from 30-40 minutes to an actual hour before being seated. While waiting “on deck” I asked for peanuts since they’re no longer readily available only to be told we’d get them at our table, no peanuts at the table either. Our server was mostly great, although drink refills lacked. While the appetizer came out more appropriately this time and we were actually enjoying it, the food runner soon arrived and took my husbands appetizer away without asking. When the manager finally arrived with our refills I reported it to him, he apologized with “I’m sorry that happened”. I get it, it’s a busy place, but your hostess and food runners need to be more in-tuned to their work environment. At minimum, recognize their patrons have chosen their establishment to spend their money and not greet them so harsh and certainly not take their food away while they’re still eating.

Sure, here's a revised version: --- We usually visit a different location, but this time we decided to try this one because it was convenient as we were heading further north. The girl who greeted us didn't say hello; instead, she just asked us: “how many people? “. I didn't like that, but whatever. Thank goodness we had a good waiter, Drixsky who was nice and friendly. We ordered the 12-ounce ribeye with Caesar salad and mashed potatoes, and everything was delicious. The bread was awesome—it came directly from the oven, hot and soft!
