My husband and I came to the Gaylord with the hope of having a relaxing, enjoyable one night getaway with great food and drinks … Gaylord Palms and Old Hickory Steakhouse DID NOT disappoint!! We were pleasantly greeted and ordered drinks from the bar while we waited only a few minutes to be seated. There are several dining areas with a little different vibe and ambience which are all stunning. It’s impossible to have a bad table. Bar seating and lounge area is very cozy. The meal began with delicious fresh baked bread and butter in the shape of a honeycomb and honey from bees 🐝 that are housed on the property. Such a charming detail that I truly appreciated. We ordered the seafood tower and 14 oz Wagyu Ribeye with potatoes au gratin to share and it was more than the two of us could eat. The food AND the service were A +. We had an amazing evening that I’m still smiling about this morning 😊 We consider ourselves foodies and plan our restaurants and study the menu before we arrive. Old Hickory gets a gold star 🌟 We will definitely be back! Can’t wait to enjoy some of the other items on the menu.

Just ate here with my wife and our server JAY was awsome! It’s been a couple years since we ate here and the experience and the food was worth coming back for. Thank you guys! We will definitely be back more often.

I came here with my husband on an anniversary trip as we were staying at the resort. For the money, I expect more from a meal. The service was excellent but the food was fairly underwhelming. Some standouts that were quite good: French Onion Soup, Au Gratin potatoes. The wine list was extensive. The location is very convenient for hotel guests and it definitely has a romantic ambience. The main negative was the preparation of the very extensive steaks. The steaks were mildly overcooked and very underseasoned. For those prices, the quality needs to be higher.

I asked my brother what the best restaurant is at Gaylord Palms just two days prior to my reservation, as he frequents there, and I was planning to propose to my girlfriend. I waited a day and checked for a reservation, same day. As you can imagine they were booked solid. I saw the option to message the management team and explained my dilemma. The manager, Eric Crawford, made an exception and he promptly responded with a time that suited our excursion to ICE, very close to my target time. Upon arrival, I discreetly informed the hostess, Yalya, of my intention to propose, and requested to have someone (two people) capture the moment on video with our phones, under the guise of getting our picture taken. She said she would participate, and inform one of our servers, Dave & Gina, who were phenomenal by the way. Everything went over flawlessly. She had no idea what was happening, they were as slick as can be in keeping it a surprise. She did say yes! Dave & Yalya filmed it for us. Abdel did an exquisite job as our server assistant. It was cuisine that would Beat Bobby Flay. So, mega compliments to the chef. It was the epitome of world-class customer service. In fact, I returned later to thank them again, and get their names for the purpose of this post. Worth every penny, and I highly recommend this place!

Great place . Nice view 👌 Extremely expensive for what you get Meat is cooked in the oven LOL After all the mashed potatoes was the only thing i will recommend it. But tu expensive for mash . Porterhouse meat it ok but oven won't let them gets the proper taste and burns taste awful should be part of the richness of taste. Cobe ribeye it was fine . But for the price Come on should be fantastic. All meats doesn't have any sides all are extra (really) ? Plus the options for sides are Kids menu Mc cheese? Omg. Really? This place is so overpriced , please get your car and drive to Many brazilian stake houses , you will have a same but at least you wont feel a ripped off;) Mc Donald's people wont understand this message;)

So order a little less than you think you’ll need. Service was excellent as well - prompt, professional, friendly. The value for the money was OK - you’re spending a lot and getting a lot. Pricing is on par with other steakhouses. The atmosphere is great - you’re in a faux building inside an atrium. During ICE you could hear the Cirque du Soleil show which was disappointing as it dampened the vibe, but that’s not the restaurants fault.
