My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary over the weekend and ended up trying Bigfire for dinner on Thursday night. Our meal and service was so good, we ate here again Friday night. On Friday night we had a remarkable server - I believe his name is Josh. It was even enjoyable to watch him interact with other tables as we enjoyed our food. Our Apple Salad and Salmon dish was quality. Our experience couldn’t have been better. On Saturday night, we had a server that seemed to be a little newer to the game. He engaged in some awkward conversation with us, even while just receiving our food. It was as if he didn’t know when it was appropriate to engage in a full blown conversation. Also seemed maybe a bit scattered. Thankfully my wife’s Salmon dish and Apple Salad, (yes… ordered again) and my Chicken Sandwich was perfect. The flavor profile of the Chicken Sandwich was very unique - loved it! We are returning for a short Universal trip soon with two of our kids and will return to dine.

Scallop was fresh and sweet. Short ribs was tender but a bit salty. Burger was on point. Service in the bar area was great. Got there at 7:30 and was informed our table wouldn't be available until 9:30! After walking around a little bit, at 8:30 we tried the bar area and found an empty table for three. Got seated and the waitress and the bar area put in our order right away and cancelled our 9:30 seating. Definitely get reservation here.

The food was mediocre at best (which is not great given the cost). Everything from the scallops to the beer can chicken to the elk sloppy joe was weirdly (very) sweet. They seem to use the same base sauce for everything, and it is certainly lacking (a little bit of salt and acid would have gone a long way). The entrees took quite a while to arrive, though the appetizers were quick, so we were just left twiddling our thumbs for a good chunk of time between. More specifically, the scallops were inconsistently cooked (some were finely cooked and others way overcooked). The sauce they were served on was broken and oily (and again way too sweet). The vegetables were not seasoned in the slightest, and the bread was stale. The skin of the chicken was weird and tough. However, the inside of the chicken was tender and cooked nicely. Was it left to sit out so the skin dried up? Unsure. The Brunswick stew the chicken was served with was weirdly dry for what I expect of the dish. The elk sandwich, along with the beef burgundy, was probably the best, though again weirdly sweet. My guess is that these are slow cooked items, and that's why they were the best. The appetizers were nice though I wish there were more items served with the amount of fondue and that the Brussels were of a larger portion size (I've been to much fancier places with cheaper Brussels and larger portions) The good is that we had a lovely waiter named Woody.

Our waitress Ivy was fantastic. She was very personal, and attentive. She re-filled our water with our own water container on our table. When we got our food she asked if there was anything else she could get us and I started to ask for another soda, and when I looked to my left, I didn't even realize she had already placed another one down. The food was absolutely incredible as well. I got the burger and it was the best burger I've had at a restaurant. The fries were great too. My fiance had the Cobb salad, and said it was the best salad she's ever had at a restaurant. The atmosphere was also fantastic. Will absolutely be back again.

After a very long day spent at Islands of adventure and universal studios our group of friends made our way to Bigfire for our 6pm reservations. Atmosphere is very modern, warm, and welcoming with chefs in visible distance from entrance is a nice touch. We were seated very quickly which I like with having a reservation in advance. Booth seating is always my favorite which all three of us enjoyed especially on the second floor having a view of majority of restaurant floor and window view of landscape outside in citywalk. All the food was great and the appetizer was on point for originality and taste. I regret not trying the s’more sampler platter but will next time. Price point is decent for theme park restaurant and portions are good too. Definitely worth a try.

Bigfire Grill delivers a fantastic dining experience with its beautiful open grill as the centerpiece. The live-fire cooking adds incredible depth of flavor to every dish, from perfectly grilled steaks to fresh seafood. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a cozy yet upscale feel that makes for a great night out. The cocktails were expertly crafted, and the service was top-notch. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable meal with bold, smoky flavors!

The lamb chops were cooked to the desired doneness. It didn't taste gamey, and it was well seasoned. The couscous was too sweet for my likings, but overall, this dish was good. The ribeye steak and roast potatoes were tasty. The kids approved of the mac & and cheese, but it wasn't the best they've had, and I think it's because it could have been creamier. The trout dish presented and tasted well. The baked Alaska flambeed nicely, but the meringue needed to be thicker. It was missing marshmallow flavor. The ice cream was solid as a rock, and it was missing the sponge layer. I would still recommend this place, but they have rooms for improvement on their food.

Wow! Our dinner service was perfect! We had the filet and it was phenomenal! I had to cut my filet into smaller bites so I could enjoy it longer. Nate, our server, made the night magical with his table service! The hidden gem is their smoked old fashioned. Such a surprise to find such an incredible steak ouse in a amusement park.
