Ruth's Chris Steak House

My family and I visited Rudy Chris' restaurant for a late Miami Spice lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We were five people: my wife, our three kids, and myself, and we ordered from the Miami Spice menu. I had the New York Strip, and unfortunately, it did not live up to its $60 price tag. The steak was disappointing, lacking the quality you'd expect for such a high cost. My wife’s steak was okay, nothing special, but at least it met basic expectations. However, my son’s salmon was overcooked, making it dry and not enjoyable for him. The overall experience left much to be desired. The ambiance was nice, and the service was fine, but the food didn’t justify the price, especially for a Miami Spice menu that we hoped would showcase the restaurant’s strengths. I’m not sure we’d return for a similar meal.

My birthday dinner at Ruth's Chris Steak was a huge success! The $121 Porterhouse for Two was cooked to perfection, and the $27 lobster mac and cheese was the perfect side dish. If you're looking for a special occasion restaurant, I highly recommend this place!

Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse never disappoints, and this visit was no exception. Sometimes, you just have to go with the classics, and Ruth’s Chris does it better than anyone. I’ve dined at some of the finest establishments in the city, but there’s something about the way Ruth’s Chris perfectly prepares their steaks—always cooked to perfection, rich in flavor, and simply outstanding. A special shoutout to John, who truly made our dining experience exceptional. He was warm, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive, providing fantastic recommendations and making sure every detail of our meal was perfect. His hospitality added so much to our night, and we couldn’t have asked for better service. Thank you, John, for making our experience memorable! Looking forward to returning soon.

Great service and I loved the bartenders recommendations. Calamari was amazing!!! Sabina answered all my questions and was such a great vibe! Literally best service I’ve had in a while, please ask for her if you can!

This is one of our favorite restaurants so we’ve been coming here for over 20 years but last night we received exceptional service from Maria. She found the perfect balance between being extremely attentive but not overbearing. She had a warm and friendly disposition and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great evening. From now on every time we visit we will be asking to be seated in her section.

As always Ruth’s Chris does not disappoint. We were here for our 31st wedding anniversary and our server Marcos was exceptional. Thank you Marcos and all who made this evening very special for us.

We celebrated our new teenager’s 13th birthday here at Ruth Chris in Coral Gables! From the moment we sat down until we finished, the experience was amazing! They decorated the table with confetti and left an awesome card that was handwritten! Marcos was the best waiter! He took the time to explain everything to our teenager which meant a lot because waiters usually talk to the adults only and the young feel left out. We appreciated the attention he received! Marcos kept our drinks filled and was extremely attentive to our table! The expresso martini was spot on and delicious! The filets, shrimps, mashed potato’s and cheesy gratin potato were all amazing! The key lime dessert was delicious! The candle in the creme brûlée was such a nice touch to commemorate a very special Birthday as well as the photo souvenir ! Thank you so much to Marcos and the Ruth Chris staff for making this such a special and memorable 13th Birthday!

While super sweet, our server kinda dropped the ball. We went for a lovely girls night out. My friend ordered a medium steak but received one that was well done. Another friend's meal wasn't brought to the table at the same time as the other four of us (I don't think the kitchen received her order). The same friend had to ask for another drink 3 times. Overall the server comped her drinks for the discrepancy, and gave my other friend a complimentary glass of wine for her well done steak. As for me, my food was fire! The crab cakes, Brussels and sweet potato mash were delightful. Overall it was a good experience. Hopefully, if we return in the future there won't be so many issues.
