This waterfront eatery has a laid back vibe. You'll walk by inviting outdoor sofas and high tops on your way to the host stand inside. The three small sections feature differing design elements to draw the eye while bringing some energy to the space. A long well tended bar features comfortable leather bound armchair stools, a collection of intriguing cocktails, interesting wines and beers all at decent prices. The dining space is the most Spartan with gray walls, wooden chairs and blank tabletops. The well numbered staff is casually dressed, congenial and attentive. We enjoyed the sharable shrimp with chorizo (excellent 9/10), a chopped salad (entree size, also very good 8/10). For mains one had the black cod (7/10) and the other wagyu strip (7/10). Pricing felt quite reasonable for a restaurant in this type of resort location. There is an opportunity to improve: embrace one of the more interesting design themes, lower the lighting levels, introduce more upscale seating and dress the tables. Our visit was on a Saturday evening in February. Free parking in the adjacent garage.

I would like to preface this review by stating that we were regulars at Gather and have always been very pleased with the food, service and overall experience. However, the last visit was a vastly different experience. The water was served in very hot glasses right out of the dishwasher so the water was very warm and one glass had sediment. We requested sparkling bottled water and received club soda from the bar tap. Our drink order took 25 minutes to receive and only after requesting another waitress check on them as our waitress was absent. The perogies were delicious but the sauce on top tasted like a flour base and was grainy. The duck wings were absolutely delicious. I ordered the Black Cod with saffron risotto and roasted squash. The risotto was so starchy that it was necessary to cut it as it was in a solid clump. The cod was extremely dry but saturated with oil at the same time. The waitress never asked if we needed another drink or if we needed anything or even how things were. I will give this restaurant a nice long break while I decide if I ever return which is unfortunate because this was where we used to go for special occasions.

We are from Chicago and we look forward to visiting Gather all year long! Every time we visit Cape Coral we always make a point to have multiple meals there. SO DELICIOUS and THE STAFF IS THE BEST! Araya, Silver, & Ben make the best drinks and always take great care of all of their guests. All of the juices are freshly squeezed and they are constantly making new delicious cocktails. And the FOOD IS TO DIE FOR! Pasta from scratch and fresh ingredients in every dish. We are already planning our next trip soon so we can try more dishes from their menu. The food and drinks were next level amazing! High quality, great variety, and nice portions! I had the demure drink, pierogies, and street corn. Absolutely fantastic culinary creations that I was amazed by the creativity and flavor! Highly recommend!

The food itself was very good, the atmosphere was awesome and the waitress was great. Issue is, I had a gift card that my dad gave me 2 Christmases ago and I have 4 children so this was the first time I was able to actually go on a date with my husband and use it. The gift card came back as no money on it. It didn’t have an expiration date on it so I was confused on why it didn’t go through. The waitress gave me a business card of a lady name Kathy and said to email her and she would take care of it for me. I corresponded back and forth with Kathy and she said the gift card has $50 on it and not sure why it didn’t work but she would send me a new one and asked for my address. She never sent me a new one and she stopped corresponding with me. I have tried to reach out to her again with no response. Would really like to use my gift card!

Here on Vacation from Delaware I found this place through Google and liked what I saw. Arrived at 730 for a reservation Saturday night and had perfect service. The food was equally outstanding. My wife and I ordered an app and 2 entrees. Each component of every dish was perfect. From the cooked temperatures to the seasonings everything was outstanding!

We’ve been to Gather many times and plan to continue being regular patrons while visiting from Bonita Springs, Florida. The entire team of staff, the restaurants ambiance, and the culinary experience is always hospitable, fun, and delightful! We have enjoyed brunch on the weekends, Chef’s dinners, and regular nights out dining. We love it. If you are looking for a nice place to enjoy some wining and dining on Cape Coral, add this one to your list, and get there. The outside area also has a great view of a beautiful marina, which makes for great sunset vibes. The parking situation is also easygoing. Enjoy!
