Customer Review Summary
740 Front is a cozy, family-friendly restaurant known for its tasty steaks, including Wagyu and bison filet, as well as a commendable kids menu. While the overall food quality is praised, some dishes like the New York strip were flavorful but lacking in tenderness, and the shrimp and scallops did not meet expectations, particularly in texture. Service is generally friendly and prompt, though some guests experienced issues like delayed water refills. The atmosphere is beautiful, with a rich backstory and a stunning bar, making it a nice spot for casual dining without the high prices of upscale steakhouses. However, there are concerns about the consistency of food quality, as some burgers and chicken dishes were poorly executed, leading to disappointment among first-time visitors. Overall, many recommend the restaurant despite a few missed marks on individual dishes.

Great little local spot for tasty steaks. Bonus is, they are pretty kid friendly with a kids menu. I had a Wagyu New york and wife had the filet. The New York had tons of flavor and cooked well. It however was not very tender. The filet was also cooked well and had great flavor. It was very tender as it should. The sides were excellent. We had mash potatoes and mushrooms and ate every bit of it. My only critique on the service was I ran out of water part way through my meal and my waiter was nowhere to be found. I eventually had to get up and grab the pitcher myself to refill the water. Other then that, the waiter was very friendly and food and drinks came out promptly. I definitely would recommend this place for a more casual spot to grab a steak while not being as expensive as a full on steak house and not as lax as a Longhorn.

We need more quality restaurants like this. Had the orange roughy, it was probably one of the best fish dishes I have had in years. The service was great, very cosy atmosphere. Would love to try more dishes here.

We had a birthday dinner here. I had the bison filet. My wife had steak and lobster tail. The food was truly excellent. They have some nice wine on the list. The mixed drinks were the only thing I thought could use improvement. Well done! The brownie was like molten cake. My wife was truly excited about the experience.

Service was great the food was left a little to be desired. Had the shrimp and scallops. The shrimp was what I was expecting the scallops seemed a little over. The texture was a little on the rubbery side. Margaritas were great. My expectations were a little higher.

I heard good things about the burgers here so I brought two friends tonight. Ordered two burgers, medium rare and they came out well done. The patties were not thick as one would expect for a steak burger and there was nothing special about them at all. Pretty sure a Good Times burger would have been much better. The upcharge of almost $2 for a skinny sliver of avocado was a joke (overcooked burger now at $19.45). We barely found the thin tomato under the onion for the two burgers. The flat iron chicken that was ordered was about 1cm thick. He did like the onions but had never seen a piece of chicken so thin. We weren’t asked how the food was because I’m pretty sure they knew by the looks of it. This was a very disappointing first time experience for my two friends that came over from Boulder. This experience gave them no reason to come back and try the more premium items on the menu another time. I’m sorry that I recommended it to them. I know times are difficult for restaurants but if you can’t execute on the most basic of items like a burger, something is amiss.

The interior of this historic building is so beautiful; the bar alone is just stunning. There’s a really great backstory to this restaurant that everyone should take the time to read about! Never had a poor experience here and your martinis never get warm. Pretty great happy hour as well with some small plate offerings. I love the huge shrimp you get with the shrimp cocktail app.

This family run and oriented business had the best dinner for our family of 6! Teenagers are hard to please but our 18, 15 year old sons and our 19 year old niece loved the food. Thomas, too, took very good care of our family. I highly recommend this restaurant. Dr. Patrick Kalenzi

Visited for a double date. Made reservations. Beautiful space. Their spinach queso appetizer was so good. Ordered their “special” Waguy New York strip and I didn’t-couldn’t eat it. Flavor was on point, but the steak itself, was far less than desired, tough, chewy, and grisly, specially when it was 1/2” thick. The mashed potatoes and spinach that came with were good tho. Definitely disappointed.
