I really did not expect this kind of dining experience in Visalia. Everything about The Vintage Press was excellent. We had a selection of the tinned meats, escargot, and mushrooms for an appetizer. The tinned meats, (think tuna, oysters, sardines, etc.) provided a variety of tastes in a unique presentation. The snails were very good. One of our group had never had escargot and swore he would never eat them ended up eating 3. For my entree I had the ribeye. It was excellent. All the members of the group really enjoyed their meals. The chef/ owner stopped by our table toward the end of our meal and he spoke with another couple out for an anniversary dinner The service was top notch and the entire experience was fantastic from start to finish. I highly recommend The Vintage Press if you are looking for the best dining option in Visalia.

The Vingage Press effortlessly blend elegance and flavor offering a fine dining experience that feels truly special. Our meal begins with the Wild Mushrooms in Puff Pastry. It was an absolute delight. Golden, flaky and buttery pastry perfectly encasing a rich earthy mushroom. For the entree, we chose the Grill New York Steak, and it did not disappoint. The steak was cooked exactly to our preference achieving a beautiful sear on the outside while remaining tender and juicy inside. The only thing I could think of was the price was too high.

Had brunch here with my family and everything we ordered was excellent. From the brunch menu, we had the burger, salad with Atlantic salmon, and the filet mignon. They were pretty big portions so we were quite full but I’m so happy that we still chose to have dessert afterwards. We had the crème brûlée and the blood orange ice cream. They were amazing. Honestly, I’d come back just to try the rest of the desserts too. The food was great, the service was friendly, and the whole experience was really enjoyable. Definitely worth checking out!

Wow! This place met and exceeded any expectations I had! We've lived in the area for awhile now and have heard many (universally good) things about this place and just hadn't gotten around to trying it out till a few weeks ago! We came for lunch, which looks like they have a bit more of a paired down menu, but still plenty of entrees to choose from. The atmosphere is just classic. Not super up on my architecture, but maybe Victorian or "turn-of-the-century" like something out of the gilded age. We made reservations which were honored and we were accommodated even with an infant. We saw a few other families with young children, as well, so looks like they are quite accommodating, although it's certainly more of an adults or couples kind of place... All the food we ordered tasted great! From the appetizers to both main entrees to the dessert! I wouldn't hesitate to return and try anything on their menu. The prices, while not "cheap" are not outrageously high, either. To be honest, I feel like they could get away with charging more. The service was pretty good, too! Not flawless, to be honest, there were a few minor mix-ups, but everything was handled professionally and we wound up getting 2 drinks on the house which more than made up for any small hiccups. Excited for the next special occasion to strike and to try out more of their menu!

As far as fine dining goes in Visalia there’s nothing better than this establishment. We started with the meatballs had the Caesar salad for our mid and I had the ribeye while my husband had the filet. It was our anniversary. The food was pretty good, but I do want to mention that service was quite slow. I definitely think that our server forgot to fire our salads because we waited almost an hour in between the meatballs and the salad, and it would’ve been nice to get a candle in something for our anniversary when we ordered our after dinner drinks, but other than that, the food made up for the lack of service in some areas. We will come back again when we are on vacation. I forgot to mention the wine list is absolutely insane and if you’re a wine nerd like myself and in the industry, you can get lost in that book. so many fun things to look at. Well done!

Having concluded a many hours tour of Kings Canyon & Sequoia NPs, our friends / hosts / guides from Fresno suggested this establishment as a dinner option. Little did we know what we were in for!!! The first big question was whether or not we would be allowed in given that we were still in hiking attire, including boots and shorts. "No problem.", said the hostess. The Vintage Press vibe and decor is classic casual fine dining with an emphasis on "fine". As we walked in past the beautifully decorated patio, we were greeted not only by the hostess, but the live tunes from the piano player positioned above the entry. From the meal's beginning to its sweet ending, our server, Alysha, provided impeccable guidance. As is seldom the case, she was there when we needed her and never when we didn't. Water glasses were tended to, timing between courses just right, and questions were answered with detailed knowledge. We could tell there was strong ownership with an emphasis on proper tableside demeanor. What about the food? From menu options to presentation to portions and taste, the food matched Alysha's service in every way, making this one of the finest complete dining experiences we can recall. Well done, Alysha and David. Thank you!

Love love love this place. My first time there was in the middle of Covid restrictions and not great so we’ll just pretend that never happened. We went there for a work lunch/retirement party and the service was above and beyond. The food was delicious. The place settings were immaculate and the atmosphere is just unmatched. I am allergic to eggs and dread having to go to places that don’t have allergen menus posted. Our waitress went back to the kitchen the moment I told her to ask the chef about every dish on the menu so she could give me all my options and was sure to let them know as well. She was so friendly and never made me feel like a burden. She was very poised and very well trained. You could see in the places she stood to take everyone’s order and how she set everyone’s drink and plate down the exact same way every time. Our drinks were never empty and even when they made a mistake on one plate, she ran out to correct the mistake before the young man bringing the plate out could set it down. She apologized repeatedly and rushed a new plate out. Everyone was so friendly and the food was delicious and elegant. Have been back a couple times and they never disappoint. Can’t wait to go back.
