The food was delicious and my steak was mouthwatering and full of flavor. The sides all were perfectly seasoned. The atmosphere was chic and sexy. The bartender, John gave us impeccable service and covered our every need. We celebrated two birthdays that evening. It was our first time dining at BOA Steakhouse and we all enjoyed ourselves immensely. I can’t wait to go back.

Not bad. I really enjoyed this restaurant. The crab cakes, lamb and NY strip steak, lobster mac, and asparagus were all delicious. Great place for a first date or just to hang out. I recommend trying this place

First time but definitely not the last!!! Sublime experience from the moment we entered!!! My friend and I love to tour the steakhouses of the region, both legendary and new. BOA takes a place high on the list with old world flavor and quality paired with impeccable service! Thank you!!!

Our Valentine’s Day dinner at Boa Steakhouse in Manhattan Beach was a disaster. We had a 9 PM reservation but weren’t seated until 10:15 PM. Our first course didn’t arrive until 11 PM, and by the time our main course finally came at 11:50 PM, it was cold. Service was just as disappointing—our server barely checked on us, and when we voiced our concerns, the manager was cold and completely unhelpful. For a $400 pre-fixe meal on Valentine’s Day, I expected a smooth, well-executed experience. Instead, we endured excessive wait times, cold food, and poor service. The steak was hot, after they reheated and overcooked it. I asked for medium, it was brown throughout. The sides were an afterthought, under seasoned for sure. Also be prepared to leave the dinner table to go pick up your keys from valet because they close at 10, even on busy rush nights where they are seating guest 1.5 hours after their reservation. I will never return.

I had an incredible dining experience at BOA Steakhouse in Manhattan Beach! The steaks were perfectly cooked and incredibly juicy, while the lobster tempura was absolutely delicious. Not only was the food top-notch, but the service was also exceptional. The staff was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of amazing. I highly recommend BOA Steakhouse for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience with mouthwatering steaks, delectable lobster tempura, and outstanding service.

We came for a relaxed, upscale lunch. We were not disappointed! Great wagyu, great martinis, and great service! We will come back for steak, bone morrow, and martinis soon!

I’m writing to share my disappointing experience at BOA on Valentine’s Day. BOA has long been my favorite restaurant in LA, and I have always appreciated the excellent food and service. However, this visit was far from what I’ve come to expect. We had a reservation, yet upon arrival, we were not informed of any delay. After waiting for 25 minutes, I checked with the hostess and was told that there were still nine parties ahead of us. In total, we waited over an hour for our table. Had we been informed of the wait upon arrival, we could have made alternate plans. Unfortunately, this delay forced us to cancel our movie reservation, disrupting our evening. To make matters worse, my wife is recovering from a sprained ankle, and there was nowhere for her to sit while we waited. Standing for an hour was extremely uncomfortable for her, adding to the frustration of the situation. Once we were finally seated, we did appreciate the manager’s attempt to rectify the situation with a 10% discount. However, $30 off a $370 bill did not feel like an adequate acknowledgment of the inconvenience we experienced. Additionally, due to the unexpected delay, our dinner extended past the time when the valet closed, forcing me to step away from my meal mid-dinner to retrieve my keys from the outside valet stand. I understand that unexpected delays can happen, and I recognize this is not the standard level of service at BOA. However, this experience ultimately ruined what was supposed to be a special night. Given the reputation of BOA and my history as a loyal guest, I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that steps are taken to improve communication with guests regarding wait times. I appreciate your time and look forward to your response. Best, Devon Lyons

It was just okay. Overall vibe: casual restaurant with expensive food. My drink was tasty, but it came with a piece of dry ice in it and no warning, which I thought was a little reckless. I ordered the Chilled Saffron Prawns, which also came over dry ice, but no danger of swallowing that one so it was a fun and surprising presentation. Basically, it was giant shrimp cocktail. Very tasty, but I think it would have been nice to have an even number of prawns; it came with three and I think the most common table sizes are 2 and 4, so why have 3 and someone has to share? Still, my 1.5 prawns was my favorite dish of the night. This is a steakhouse. My meat was overcooked - I asked for medium rare and it came nearly well done. I didn’t bother asking for a new one, but my plate was not worth the $60+. Not sure if it was because it was overdone or just the meat, but it was also quite dry and didn’t have much flavor. Service wasn’t bad, but not was good as I was expecting. The atmosphere was too busy, too loud, and not even sure the staff ever even stopped to talk to us aside from taking our order. I indicated on my reservation that we were celebrating a birthday; the hostess said “happy birthday” and that was it. I would have liked a little more recognition for the occasion. It didn’t need a big show or anything, but last year the restaurant we went to had a card waiting for us at the table signed by the staff with confetti and we thought that was great. The restaurant was open to the outside and not enough heat lamps. They asked for “upscale dress code”, but it’s so cold that I had to wear a puffy jacket the entire dinner.
