Prime rib was excellent..big portions. Salad was ok. Pretty basic. Mashed Potato was good. Scallop potatoes were great. Coconut shrimp was excellent. Crispy. Loved the veggies. Shirley Temple was good. We loved the heart shaped straws. Tiramisu was not the best. Really strong flavor. Service was great. Our server Donna was nice and funny. We were sat pretty quickly. Parking is tough. But this place is good.

Delicious! We're new to the area and I've driven past it for the last five months. We finally decided to try it and it was fantastic. We all ordered the prime rib. It was cooked exactly how we ordered it, the flavor was amazing, and the vegetables and salad were very fresh. We will be going back!

Fantastic steaks! Ordered a side of creamy horseradish (great flavor, not overpowering) and almost made myself sick trying to finish my plate. Would absolutely visit again!

So my wife and I have only gone to this restaurant a few times and haven't been impressed with the food. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. The drawback is the flavor of the food and presentation, it's like Dennys on a fancy plate.

I'm giving this place Five Stars. Came here and stopped on a way to a trip expecting nothing from this restaurant it just happened to be one of the few restaurants still open in this location. However, the service alone was great, didn't have to Wait long for drinks, food, or any service at all. Food was amazing and priced reasonably for what you get. There's not too many good restaurants like this nowadays surviving and with that said take advantage of a place like this and I think you'll find it enjoyable with a nice atmosphere, with great food and even better service. Good job! And I hope to visit again.

I'm giving this place Five Stars. Came here and stopped on a way to a trip expecting nothing from this restaurant it just happened to be one of the few restaurants still open in this location. However, the service alone was great, didn't have to Wait long for drinks, food, or any service at all. Food was amazing and priced reasonably for what you get. There's not too many good restaurants like this nowadays surviving and with that said take advantage of a place like this and I think you'll find it enjoyable with a nice atmosphere, with great food and even better service. Rare prime rib so good and quality au jus. Let the high quality Salinas Valley vegetables speak for themselves. They cook them just enough to be crunchy, but soft, and no seasoning needed. Packaging to go is done well. Each packaged separately: vegetables, salad, prime rib, and au jus.

Amazing food. I tried the pork chop, prime rib, fettuccini alfredo, and pumpkin ice cream. Every dish was perfectly cooked and delicious. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for and the servers are great. 5/5 experience

After many years absence from Salinas, my family and I decided to try The Pub on Monterey St.last night and Boy, was I glad we did!! I, at 90 years of age have had many a good steak, but NEVER, as good as this one!! I ordered the skirt steak and that steak practically melted in my mouth with out chewing!!! And the flavor? ….was out of this world! That…was the BEST steak I have ever had and Chef Jose’ needs to know how much I appreciated that!! We will definitely be returning! and Marianna..was great too and filled us in on why this Chef is the BEST!! Kudo’s to Chef Jose’ and we will be seeing you again. Count on it!!!
