Customer Review Summary
Shogun Restaurant features clean surroundings and nice staff, though some patrons find the pricing a bit high for the experience. Food quality is generally praised with specific dishes like the salmon ceviche roll noted for its flavor, but overall some find the offerings plain. Service experiences vary; while some felt ignored, others received attentive care from servers and chefs. The hibachi show can enhance the dining experience, particularly with skilled chefs like Cris, adding entertainment value to the meal. The menu includes a variety of sushi rolls and teppanyaki options, with diners enjoying generous portions and flavorful dishes. Complimentary iced tea refills and consideration for dietary restrictions are highlighted positively. Despite mixed experiences regarding service and food flavor, many are willing to return and recommend the restaurant.

Took our son on his 16th Bday, the restaurant is really clean and the staff was nice. Just priced a little too high for what you get. Food tasted really well and prepared fresh, but the food does get cold as they cook all the other portion one at a time.

Amazing food taste and quality.thank you chef Juan and server savannah for a nice dining experience, it was awesome 👍. This time it was not the same tofu in the onion soup? I expected ginger dressing instead its a lemon dressing?I guess it depends on which chef you get .I liked the ginger dressing and did not care for the tofu.

My party was not impressed with the service. They felt they were being ignored. I, on the other hand, didn't feel that way. However they did serve the food rudely by a slight toss of the food to enough where the food moved. The food was plain. I enjoy good spicy foods and the only one that had a hint of spicy was the salmon ceviche roll. The rest was good just not impressive. The server also took quite some time to ring up or order. I will give it another try one day. It is Christmas Eve so maybe we should consider that as a factor.

This review was for Cris - he’s been such an amazing hibachi master and he definitely exceeded what I expected. The food was slightly above average but the show added on lots of values, Cris broke it into multiple small shows and engaged with us. The love birds he made for us two were greatly appreciated. The whole team also had been fantastic, we got seated at 9:45pm (parking was not a problem at all) and they still greeted us with lots of passion, then assigning a master just for us! How cool is that? Throughout my dining, lots of music, clapping and other tables seemed to be having tons of fun too. For pricing, we were sharing the surf and turf with extra order of chicken fried rice and resulting in ~$25 per person. I felt pretty full but for my guy he probably could take some additional protein next time. Will recommend and come back if I ever visit Temecula. Thank you Cris and team!

This is an excellent place where you can enjoy the cooking process right in front of you, but there is also a separate area where it's quieter, and you can simply order food from the menu. In the cooking show section, there is usually a queue, but there are seats available in this area. I really enjoyed the rice combo. The portion was gigantic, and the shrimp, chicken, and steak paired together perfectly! It was especially delightful that you didn't have to peel the shrimp by hand in this dish. I was also pleased with the complimentary iced tea refills.

Sushi eating etiquette. Does such a concept exist with your friends and/or family? Well for this particular Review Team we reached consensus to adopt a “family style” approach. All of the dishes were regarded as communal property and available to the first interested party within striking distance when assisted by their individual chopsticks. Regularly frequented by @ct_miller19 and @taylormarie_19, “Shogun” offers a large assortment of rolls that ought to satisfy even a large group of diverse palates. We sampled the Shrimp Tempura Roll, GSC Roll, San Diego Roll, Crunchy Dragon Roll, and Crazy Boy Roll. Although each of them provided a unique path to Flavor Town, they all shared a similar fate: complete domination and utter annihilation! In fact, all of the plates they were served on provided almost no evidence of their prior existence. 🤤 Also impressive to me was the tanginess of the Cucumber Bites, the balanced proportions of the Garlic Edamame, the controlled aggression of the Spicy Mayo, and the tenderness and flavors of the Gyoza (easily the best I’ve had in the U.S.). You and your crew are free to adopt your own views regarding sushi eating etiquette, but I recommend that you agree to give Shogun a chance to impress you. And that’s…Henry’s Take. #sushieatingetiquette #shogunsushi #temeculasushi

OK, it's $$, but it's worth it. My meal with lobster 🦞 tail was $50 (no shrimp , I ate my husband because he can't eat them). They do like to put a show for the kids. Although it's loud and you can barely hear the person next to you but I am OK with that. **** ***my husband can't eat mushrooms or shrimp , they were very cautious and considerate in regards to it. The chef tripled checked with us to make sure, and I am glad he did just show they take the proper precautions for food safty (he did use a different spatula when cooking chicken)*** ***

I took my son and granddaughter there to have an impromptu special teppanyaki dining experience. The cook and server we had definitely made it such! Our server was very friendly and attentive. Our cook was funny and entertaining, our food was delicious!! We watched the cook at the table beside us while we were eating, he wasn't doing any tricks, just cooking. So glad we had the cook we did!!! Everything about our trip to Shogun was exceptional!!!
