Chris & Pitts BBQ Restaurant

Today, I was in Downey for work and had a craving for some good BBQ, so I remembered Chris and Pitts—an OG spot that’s been around for 75 years! I hadn’t been here in over 15 years, so I decided to go with my coworker. Let me just say, WOW—the food was just as amazing as I remember. The customer service was top-notch, and the ambiance felt like you were in a cozy cabin, really setting the vibe for a great meal. I went with the ribs combo platter, which included beef, spare, and baby back ribs, and it was seriously delicious. My friend got the steak, and the Au Jus sauce was incredible. On the side, the mac & cheese and baked beans were perfect complements to the meal. I’m not usually a blue cheese fan, but when I tried my friend's salad with the blue cheese dressing, I was honestly surprised. It was actually really good—I might be a blue cheese convert now! If you’re in the area or just craving some solid BBQ, this place is a must-go. I’ll definitely be back sooner than 15 years this time!

Chris n Pitt’s is a gem. Please don’t ever go away. We need places like this. We need places like this forever and ever and ever they make the best home-cooked kickback family oriented barbecue place in the whole wide world. I don’t care about all these other places this place is played it by the menu and stayed by the menu. None of this new fad of this or that it’s been true to itself my favorite of course being the steak sandwich mine is the dressing. The onion rings cooked a little well-done with the side of barbecue sauce, the baked potato the mashed potato They’re delicious Hawaiian chicken. They’re delicious barbecue pork sandwich and the salad is delicious with the ranch dressing there, beef Farley soup, Yum Yum Yum with lots of crackers and their chili. Chris and piss a staple in the family. We will always be a big huge fan of theirs. We do like the ribs my favorite being the baby back Of course And we will always be there. Best customer especially when it comes to those delicious steak sandwiches. Keep them coming keep them coming keep them coming! Anytime anytime you need to help call me and I could have one of my sons come out and help they need a job badly And this is a good place to start!

I always get their salad with their French dressing which is my favorite and their BBQ beans. As for their chicken their broasted chicken with their broasted potatoes are the bomb. Give them a try if you are in Downey

Very very very slow server, and was very awkward. Like logic was not in his pocket. Everything we needed took 5 minutes, ranch 5 min, ordered bread 5 min, drinks didn't come until food came. Just awful service delays. And the place was dead. So not like he was over busy. Food was okay. Like 6/10, but not bad.

My serving of spaghetti was huge, but very delicious. The large portion is great because I get to enjoy my spaghetti 2 more times. Their beef barley soup is always our favorite. We have to order it even if it's a side order.

Everything was fine 🙂 I am so happy to say that this was my first time I ever had Chris and Pitts. I did enjoy the time and the food. It wasn't very busy. We were seated right

This has been a go-to restaurant in our family for a long time. We had dinner delivered on a Friday night. Food was delivered promptly and tasted delicious. Never a disappointment!
