Angeline’s is an awesome spot for southern Louisiana food. I enjoyed all the dishes we ordered to the fullest. I’ve never been to Louisiana, but from what the menu offers and what the waitress told us, this place seems 100% authentic. They even import beers from Louisiana to here, so you won’t be able to get their signature strawberry beer anywhere else. For the food, my fsforite was the fried catfish. It was more filling than I expected. The catfish was thicc and it came with a lot of hush puppies. I’m not much of a sweets person, but the beignets were incredible. It comes out piping hot fresh. Would recommend getting this to cap off your meal. When you walk around the restaurant, you will see a lot of art from Louisiana and articles about how great this restaurant is. They stay true to their southern cuisine and theme.

I had dinner and cocktails with friends here and we all loved our food and the cozy interior. The service was excellent. I had the Buttermilk Fried Chicken and It was a great portion. The sweet potato mash was delicious. My friends got the fried catfish and the shrimp creole and they each loved their dishes. We also shared the dessert "Mon Cochon” Pot de Crème. So tasty with the bacon bits. I'm looking forward to the next time I eat here.

It’s our first time having Louisiana food.We had something traditional and classic, the Jambalaya. The rice mixed with sauce and poached egg was tasty.Bananas Foster French Toast was my favorite. The portions were not that huge for us.Looking forward to try some other dishes next time.

Lovely place! I love the furnishing, and the food was really good. The easier helped me out with my choice. He recommended the voodoo shrimps. However, since this was the first time I had Louisiana food, I went with something more traditional, the Jambalaya. I'll have to come back for the voodoo shrimp... Loved it, even though I couldn't finish it.

I was originally gonna give this a three star review given that our arrival was met with disgust and “what do you want” from the lady who took our name down, and didn’t notify us when our table was ready. Our 20 minute wait ended up becoming an hour wait, because we never got notified that our table was ready… so knowing me, I was already ticked off as is. However, thanks to the assistant manager and the servers who constantly checked up on us, it saved the day and I had a pleasant experience here at Angeline’s. Angeline’s is definitely the taste of NOLA away from the actual lead by region — the decor inside represented how authentic the restaurant actually is. If “swamp water” doesn’t hit you in the face — you gotta try it out, it’s the Louisiana version of the modern Arnold Palmer, except not even watered down. My partner and I got the fried cheese grits for starters, which you already know was calling for southern paradise. The crust of the cheese grits were very flaky, and the crawfish etoufeé had just the right spice level and kick to it — rich in flavor. I had wished they had a little bit more portion, but what can go wrong with the exquisiteness of such a wonderful dish? The jambalaya and catfish were nothing short of amazing — all yummy food and special. I was honestly in love with their honey butter, especially when you put it on top of the hush puppies. Both are definitely a recommendation if you’re feeling really hungry and want something not too heavy to eat. I’d say overall the atmosphere was good — the locals and out of area people who do come in and have this ask us what our plates are, and I find that to be quite welcoming in many cases. I’d definitely come back again, as this is my fifth time coming… just the process of coming in could use some improvement.

First time I tried to visit Angeline’s the refrigerator was out and they had no meat available. What luck ryte! So this time I crossed my fingers and it was an unplanned adventure. We arrived and it was a 30min wait which isn’t too bad if your use to San Francisco wait times. Took a short walk on the ave and returned to seats and a menu. After doing a lil shuffling of the entrees and sides the choices were made. Catfish with potatoe salad and hush puppies. Some of the best hush puppies I have ever had with a butter that compliments.Awesomeness! Don’t forget the tartar sauce. It’s not needed but is a must try. Second entree was a mix of sides and appetizers that should almost be a plate. Appetizer shrimp which is almost the voodoo shrimp with spice and the sweet Potatoe mashed potatoes along with the Brussels sprouts. As a whole the food just made me want to come back and it won’t take as long as it did after the first time!

We popped in for lunch today, riding around the area and decided to try it out. I'm not usually a sandwich connoisseur but wanted to try something new. The French roll bread was soft and tasted good, although too bread for my liking. The catfish was seasoned very well, came out very hot, fresh out of the grease. I believe it had some spicy or Dijon mustard on it, which I loved. The side of combo was delicious and hot, I only noticed sausage, no other meats that I can make out. The service was great, the server was working hard and was attentive. Overall, it was a tasty lunch. I will likely return and try some other dishes in the future.

Food was very tasteless and overpriced . Staff was very friendly and attentive. We were surprised that there was no option to substitute pork from the gumbo, red beans and rice or jambalaya . The gravy that covered the buttermilk fried chicken has pork in it! Overall we spent over $60 for two meals and a side. Definitely will not go back.
