Customer Review Summary
The Butcher Shop receives mixed reviews overall. Many patrons praise the food quality, with highlights on the porterhouse steak and ribeye, as well as the welcoming atmosphere. Service is frequently noted as friendly and accommodating. Some diners reported issues with pricing, finding it on the higher side but still worth it for the experience. There are safety concerns regarding a cable on the sidewalk that may pose a risk to older or disabled guests. Several reviews express disappointment in the service quality during specific visits, including unhelpful waitstaff and issues with steak doneness. Returning customers noted improvements under new ownership, appreciating the restored food quality and ambiance. Desserts, particularly the cheesecake and apple pie, received positive mentions. Some recommend the twice-baked potato and emphasize that this restaurant remains a community staple. Overall, while there are standout experiences, there are also significant inconsistencies that affect return visits.

A wonderful place to eat. Our waitress was extremely nice and the food was outstanding.

Great restaurant, good service & food, a little high on price but worth for us, but not any or much higher than red lobster restaurant. Good & handicap parking. Very friendly waiter. Got me whatever I wanted. We had the porterhouse steak very tender & good. We will go back someday. I only have one complaint, at the end of a concrete side walk near a large parking lot is a orange small cable across the side walk. It's attached into the ground. If an older or senior people bumps it with their foot or a handicap cane catches it, that old people could go down. When facing the rest, it on the right side of the building. I told a waiter about it, he suppose to have told the manager. Wish I had thought to get a picture. Be careful.

I was there for our 6th wedding anniversary. We go here a few times a year. Our bill was $93. But the food was no better than Outback & they sat us by screaming kids they wouldn't do anything about so we got up & moved... it's not longer worth our 50 mile drive to come here.

This was our first time coming, it’s a Friday night we have high expectations and were sadly disappointed. Our waiter wasn’t very friendly, when asked questions he wasn’t very much help. I ordered the 8oz filet medium, baked potato and salad. My husband ordered the 12oz ribeye medium, baked potato and salad. While the ranch was delicious the salad was bland and fairly small, the baked potatoes were big and delicious but the steaks were not very flavorful. I asked for a medium steak it came out well done, i had to sit and wait for awhile before the waiter come back for me to explain to him my issue. He took my steak back and brought a new one as well as a new baked potato, when i cut into the steak it was under cooked. So i just ate the potatoes for dinner… our waiter instead of knocking the price down offered us dessert (I’m not a dessert person neither is my husband) it was okay just not my favorite… not to mention i watched the manager walk around and talk to a few tables but never once came to ours… Needless to say we feel we waisted our money and will not be back.

Like many Central Arkansas natives, many of my first "nicer" meals were at Butcher Shop. That was a common theme as a child, which carried over into adulthood. We had dinner before our Senior Prom there, our family had a rehearsal dinner for a sibling's wedding there, many birthdays, etc. As some know, the last few years have been filled with some challenges for Butcher Shop maintaining the level of great food and service we all experienced all those years. We stopped going for awhile but after giving them time with new ownership, we returned... Happy to share that THE Butcher Shop we love and remember is back! The food was spot on, service was specular, and the restaurant ambiance/atmosphere was restored. An all around great experience and we are so happy to be able to confidently return to spend time and money there, and to recommend to others! If you're like us and haven't been in the last few years, it's safe to head back! Thank you to the new owners, leadership, and staff for bringing THE Butcher Shop back! Places such as these, are assets to the community and one of the unique characteristics that make a city special! Everything was delicious, but two can't miss items are their classic twice baked potato side and the homemade cheesecake! Enjoy!

I went to the Butcher Shop my 1st experience. The atmosphere was welcoming soft lighting but not sooo soft you could not see the menu or see the food quality. The dress is casual. The service was good. We ordered the 12 oz ribeye medium well they were cooked as requested. Side note... I believe that if the meat has good flavor it does not need any sauce to "enhance" the flavor" this steak was that except when it cooled down then the flavor was lost and then I needed the sauce... I requested that the dessert be ready to go when we completed our meal...it came before, that was ok... the sizzling apple pie was delicious sugar and cinnamon and vanilla ice cream was very good. The cheesecake I took to go. I have pictures attached this will be eaten later. All and all this was a very good meal. I will be back to try their bugers at lunch on a Friday. I am looking forward to trying that.

This place is GREAT! The Butcher Shop is officially one of our favorites now. Every thing we ordered was delicious and we ordered a lot of stuff! I highly recommend trying them out. We will definitely be back when we are in Little Rock next time. The people working were great as well. Thank you so much!

I assisted a gentleman stuck in the snow and ice in January because that's what a 4X4 is for! He gave me 2 gift cards for the Butcher Shop Steakhouse. I thought it was an actual butcher shop. If I knew who he was I would thank him. Great Steaks! I will definitely repeat as a Customer.
